CLSA Education Foundation - Call for Donations
The CLSA Education Foundation would like to convert that old equipment in the back of your shop into Scholarship dollars. It has been taking up storage space back there for some time and now it the time to clean it out and have it go to a good cause.

The Scholarship Auction at the annual CLSA Conference (March 11-15 at the Silver Legacy Resort in Reno) is the primary fundraiser for the Education Foundation, which gave out $15,500 in Scholarships last year. This year will be even bigger with more Chapters partnering with the Foundation and the creation of 4 new “Education Foundation” Scholarships. We will have the live auction and also silent auction tables closing during the conference again this year, but we need your help to stock these auctions. Anything of value will do (no pen plotters please!). Artwork, framed photographs, antique surveying instruments, books, gift baskets, wine, nuts, anything you can think of that someone would actually pay for, makes a great donation. Many of the Chapters regularly donate and I’ll thank them in advance for participating this year. We can go one step further and ask each of our firms to donate, ask a retired Surveyor if he will donate some of his old equipment, and look in our own garages for items. It is fun to see what some of these items actually go for. If you know of someone who has some old equipment and are willing to donate, but are not driving to the Conference, contact your Chapter Rep or one of the Education Foundation Directors and we will make arrangement to get the donations to the Conference.

The Auctions in the past have been a lot of fun, and with your help, we aim to have even more fun and raise more money to help students of Land Surveying to successfully complete their education.

Steve Martin, Chairman
CLSA Education Foundation
