The goal of the project is to visit each of the latitude and longitude integer degree intersections in the world, and to take pictures at each location.

A world-wide 'treasure hunt'. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches.

Geodashing is a game in which players use GPS receivers on a playing field that covers the entire planet. The waypoints, or dashpoints, to be reached are randomly selected. Each game has a new set of dashpoints making each game completely different and unpredictable. http://geodashing.gpsgames.org/

Orienteering has been described as "running while playing chess" and "cunning running". Map reading and compass skills are a must, as well as a good constitution.
